Born from a love of exploration, Curiosity Co. is a curated collection of goods that we've relied on while discovering, documenting, and sharing stories from around the world. From travel hacks to camera supplies, everyday tools to our favorite reading material - every piece is a "staff pick." Curiosity Co is powered by the experience of Once Films, and all proceeds support the nonprofit storytelling initiative, Filmanthropic.
Here's a little about us:
Once Films is a boutique production company in the heart of St. Louis. Our work spans from broadcast commercials for international brands to feature-length documentaries shown on PBS. And lots and lots in between. From a numbers standpoint, we've completed nearly 4000 projects, received 32 Emmys for original content, and more than 60 Addys for our advertising. We've helped raise more than $1.5 billion for major nonprofit campaigns. We've filmed projects in 47 of the 50 US States. We want to leverage 15+ years of experience and real-world product testing to create greater storytelling impact.
A couple of years ago, we started a sister non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status to help creatives in our community. Already the fiscal agent and lead for St. Louis Design Week, we've launched a new initiative called Filmanthropic that does fund-matching to help mission-driven organizations tell their story, attract volunteers and donors, and show the spirit of our community. Proceeds from Curiosity Co. sales go directly into supporting this effort.
Our solar-powered, climate-neutral studio in the heart of St. Louis' Creative District gives us the perfect launch platform for Curiosity Co. We have approximately 1,200 sq. ft. of space within our larger studio, which serves as our retail storefront. Connected but separate from Once Films, the space is similar to our approach, and some visitors may get a sneak peek at work underway. Proof that we use and abuse the goods we sell - no cosplay here.
We're taking inventory of what's in our camera cases, backpacks, duffel bags, suitcases, desk drawers, bookshelves, tool chests, and vehicles. We're reaching out now to partner with the brands we already love and connect with the ones we'd love to try.
